hello world!
i am blogging from my hall at the university of HONG KONG.
so this is the first time i've been away from home by myself..and by that, i mean that i have limited connection to family and friends from home as well as any trace of american comforts (such as really good burgers).
there is definitely way too much to try to squeeze in this entry - so much has happened within these few weeks already and i'm having the time of my life. but in brief, hong kong is a really amazing place to study abroad because there are so many other international students here who are up for going out and seeing the city. also because of hk's proximity to other countries, travelling is really common and convenient here. all the exchange students go somewhere for 'reading week' which starts this coming monday. but i am gonna be naughty and start it TOMORROW by going to thailand (phuket and bangkok) and then vietnam (ho chi minh city). i'm ridiculously excited since i've always wanted to travel with friends and to go to southeast asia
but for now, i need to prep for my chinese midterm and criminal justice presentation, so ima peace out, but more updates soon.....with pictures! :)
